Biomedical scientist - London

Immunology Biomedical Scientist

We are currently in need of an experienced band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Immunology to work at our client's laboratory located in London.

This is a full-time position due to start as soon as possible with a pay rate of £28-£37 per hour.

 
The analysers in the department are:
  • PQuantalyser (slide processing)
  • DS2
  • Flow cytometry (AQUIOS)
  • Capillarys
  • Hydraysis
  • Euroblot One
  • Optilite
  • ISAC and various manual IIF and Complement assays
 
Duties

Band 6 BMS staff are expected to independently run assays, check IQC and validate patient samples as well as supervising SATO staff that work alongside BMS.

 
Responsibilities
  • Entering and reporting diagnostic pathology results, therefore accuracy and attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to plan and prioritise allocated work
  • Help with routine work in the bio archive

Biomedical Scientist - Wales

Haematology / Blood Transfusion band 6

ALLY HEALTHCARE RECRUITMENT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced band 6 Haematology and Blood Transfusion Biomedical Scientist to join our client's team in Wales.

The pay for this position is £23-£35 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
 

Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests on blood samples to diagnose and monitor medical conditions related to blood disorders and transfusions.

  • Verify compatibility between donors and recipients, detect and prevent transfusion reactions, and maintain accurate records.

  • Ensure the safe and effective use of blood products in medical settings.

  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and adhere to strict quality control and safety standards.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care and support.
     

The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and have proven experience in haematology and blood transfusion.
